Talking about a new/old tool – Blogging with ScribeFire

I have been off and on with ScribeFire. Its been around for years and was called something else, now its ScribeFire. I am getting back to using it now cause I am working from too many computers to use Ecto effectively, and I am now posting to Ignite Phoenix as well so there are too many passwords to remember.

ScribeFire is pretty easy to setup, its a Firefox plugin and integrates nicely into the browser making it easy to add links and post in ‘Web of Conciousness’ style. Its got some basic keyboard commands – F8 brings up the half window that the app sits in. Command + B,I,U do all the regular actions, and for links use Command+M. It will automagically insert the link of the page that you are currently on.

I am meaning for this to cause me to become more active again with my blogging activity.
